As a photographer I see photographers wearing heavy duty boots to ‘go out there’ as it were. As a photographer my only physical connection to what I am photographing is through my feet or bum if I am sitting down at the time. I firmly believe that a light pair of shoes or even bare feet if the situation allows it is better for my photography.

I agree, I've been using "barefoot" shoes for years now and I absolutely love them. Hiking was never the same after using these. I hate the big, bulky boots, but they do offer some protection in rocky terrain.

What a terrific video, Adrian! The camera does take excellent photos. As for shoes, decades ago read an interview with Spielberg. When he was asked for an advice for a beginning filmmaker, he said, “The first thing you should make sure to do is wear comfortable shoes in the set.” When one is comfortable with gravity, everything else opens up generously. I even wear comfortable shoes to bed, for better traction. 😎

Haha, I was sure this was a variation of what someone else had said before. Making yourself as comfortable as possible so you can focus on what truly matters is really important, indeed. Even in bed! 😁
